*Casting consists of foot impressions in styrofoam from which plaster molds of the bottom / sides of each foot are made. These plaster casts are sanded / filed / manipulated to produce our unique BalanceWorks foot-molds and then used to produce the 1st pair of orthotics. These casts are then warehoused by us for future use: such as additional orthoses for different type of shoes or replacements in the future. Casting costs are a one-time fee with the 1st pair ordered: additional orthoses are not charged for casting.
